New eCase Customer: Summerset in Australia

Published by Health Metrics, June 10, 2025

Health Metrics is pleased to announce a new partnership with Summerset in Australia. Established in 1997, Summerset is one of New Zealand’s largest retirement and aged care providers, operating 38 villages and delivering a continuum of care to more than 8,000 residents.

Summerset opened its first village in Australia last year at Cranbourne North in Melbourne’s outer east and has a pipeline for a further six villages across Victoria. Their first residential aged care home is under construction with operations due to commence early in 2026.

The eCase care management platform will be deployed at Cranbourne North with a go-live scheduled for late 2025 to coincide with the completion of construction. Subsequent rollouts are planned at other Summerset villages including Chirnside Park, Craigieburn, Drysdale, Oakleigh South, and Torquay. Each village will offer contemporary retirement living alongside options for assisted living and residential aged care, enabling residents to remain within the community as their care needs evolve.

Following a comprehensive tender process, Summerset selected Health Metrics as its technology partner to implement a Residential and Care Management system.

“We are delighted to partner with Summerset Australia as they embark on their exciting expansion into the Australian sector.” “Summerset’s model of providing a continuum of care through a range of living and care options aligns closely with the capabilities of our eCase platform, which is designed to support Home Care, Retirement Living, and Residential Aged Care in a single unified system.”

Paul Brindle | CEO of Health Metrics

“We’re confident the eCase platform will deliver the resident management, clinical care, and billing functionality needed to support our team in delivering high-quality services. With a single system across the enterprise and the flexibility to integrate with our preferred specialist systems, we also anticipate improved efficiency and productivity.”

Stewart Scott | Chief Operating Officer of Summerset in Australia
