Nick Ryan is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency. Appointed in April 2014, he is responsible for accreditation and quality in Australian Commonwealth Government funded residential and home care as well as industry education. He was a senior executive in the Queensland Government from 1998 to 2010 including the Department of the Premier and Cabinet responsible for regional engagement and coordination and in a range of human services positions. From 2010 to 2013 he was CEO of Leading Age Services Australia – Queensland. Nick Ryan has also worked as a secondary and tertiary educator, has extensive experience in public administration specialising in central agency functions, human services and stakeholder engagement. He has significant corporate governance experience in government, education, early childhood, NFP and church sectors. Nick Ryan is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Theology (MCD), a Graduate Diploma in Education (UC) and Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance and Strategy (AICD).
