Established in 2008, Health Metrics is a leading provider of software solutions to the aged care sector. Health Metrics’ enterprise software solution, eCase, supports the functions of Residential Aged Care (RAC), Home Care (HC) and Retirement Villages (RV) for customers of any size.

Backed by founders with extensive knowledge of IT, aged care metrics, and clinical care, eCase is fast becoming the number one choice of leading providers of aged care in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Health Metrics partners with clients to ensure ongoing high levels of client satisfaction. With dedicated account management, clients using eCase also have access to a 24/7 help desk. Health Metrics’ holds regular ‘User Group’ conferences for clients, as well as training sessions, to ensure staff get the most out of eCase.

Health Metrics is also a provider of consulting and training services to the health and ageing industry via the Health Metrics Advisory Team; being recognised in thought leadership on Accreditation, Audits, ACFI, ACAR applications and Clinical Training (amongst others).

Chief Executive Officer

Steven Strange is CEO and co-founder of Health Metrics. As a recognized technology expert and innovator within the aged care industry, he takes special interest in disruptive technology and the associated challenges for the ageing population. A sought after speaker, Steven is highly regarded for his thought leadership in what is the complex landscape of the Health and Wellbeing sectors.

Lisa Papettas

Chief Operating Officer

Lisa Papettas is the COO/Clinical Director and co-founder of Health Metrics. Lisa is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of industry experience. She is a Nurse Advisor on the Department of Health and Ageing Advisory Panel specialising in compliance management. Lisa is responsible for all Operational aspects of the Health Metrics business. Lisa has previously held positions in Quality Management, Residential Management and specialised consulting services. Specialising in ACFI and Compliance Risk matters Lisa brings an extensive expertise to Health Metrics in service delivery to the aged care sector.

Kellee Ireland

Sales Director

Kellee Ireland is responsible for the development of growth sales strategies and management of key accounts across Australia and New Zealand.  With extensive experience in the field of Information Technology gained during her time at the Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA), Kellee also has key experience in the principles of ‘person-centred’ care via her role as Operations and Training Coordinator for The Eden Alternative.   She was a finalist in the 2017 Telstra Victorian Business Women’s Awards and is also on the board member of Victorian Women for Information Technology.

Nicholas Gruen

Chairman

Nicholas Gruen is a policy economist, entrepreneur and commentator on our economy, society and innovation.  He is CEO of Lateral Economics, Visiting Professor at Kings College London Policy Institute and Adjunct Professor at UTS Business School, Chair of Peach Financial the Open Knowledge Foundation (Australia).  He is Patron of the Australian Digital Alliance, comprising Australia’s libraries, universities, and providers of digital infrastructure such as Google and Yahoo.

He was a Council Member of the National Library of Australia (2014-16), chaired the Federal Government’s Innovation Australia (2013-14) and chaired The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) (2010-16).

Jane Smart

Board Member
Jane Smart has over 30 years of experience within the health and ageing industry, and is currently the Chief Operations Officer of Radius Care in Auckland, New Zealand.  With a passion for excellence in aged care outcomes, Jane overseas the operations of over 22 facilities located across the length of New Zealand – from Dunedin in the South to Paihia in the North.   The bed mix within the facilities includes Hospital, Rest Home, Dementia, Psychogeriatric Hospital , Young Persons & Disabled (total of 1700 beds).
Jane initially qualified as a Physiotherapist, however has spent most of her career in leadership and management roles in a number of different sectors, serving as board member for a number of organisations.

 

Bruce Salvin

Board Member

Bruce Salvin is a Health Metrics Board Member and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Bayley House, a community based, Victorian Disability Services Provider, a position he has held since mid 2011. Bruce has a professional background in nursing, having completed his initial qualification at Melbourne’s Prince Henry’s Hospital in the early1980’s. In addition, he has also obtained post-graduate qualifications in Advanced Nursing Administration, Coronary Care Nursing and Health Services Management from RMIT.

Richard Lane

Board Member

Richard Lane is a Health Metrics Board Member. Richard has had a career in the Finance/Banking Industry spanning 45 years which included 31 years with a major Australian Bank. Now retired, Richard has continued financial duties as a club treasurer and as a Parish Council Executive.

Peter Sydes

Board Member

Peter Sydes is a Health Metrics Board Member. Peter has worked in or in association with the Aged Care and Community Services sectors since 1986 and held senior management positions in both For-Profit and Not-For-Profit organisations. Over the past twenty years Peter has been involved in the development of new residential aged care services, retirement villages, community care and disability programs. More recently his community services experience has extended to the areas of Child Protection and Multicultural programs as well as Training and Employment.
