New consultancy alliance to bridge gap between clinical and legal compliance

Friday 19 May, 2017

The Health Metrics Advisory Team (HAT) and Hynes Legal are pleased to announce an alliance that will see the two organisations working closely together to provide the market with a combination of strategic, technological, clinical and legal advisory services to current and prospective aged care providers.

This strategic alliance was formed when HAT and Hynes Legal identified that aged care providers would benefit greatly from a combined service offering across their fields of expertise.

HAT, a national initiative from Health Metrics, offers a wide range of consultancy services that include strategy, technology, clinical governance and sustainable business practices. Hynes Legal provides legal advice to aged care providers with particular expertise in regulatory compliance.

“We are very excited about the alliance with Hynes Legal,” says Ruvani de Silva, General Manager of HAT.  “It will combine the skills and experience of our two teams and bring a new series of services to the aged care industry.”

The first initiative to be released will be a Residential Aged Care Health Check where HAT and Hynes Legal will review the aged care provider’s strategy, performance, clinical governance and regulatory compliance systems. Amongst other things, an exercise may examine strategy and technology with a view to developing KPIs that help the provider identify and plan for areas of continuous improvement.

Julie McStay, Director of Hynes Legal says “the alliance will also work with aged care providers facing issues of non-compliance or sanctions, and will help them to achieve compliance within the shortest possible timeframe.”

Julie McStay is a well known legal expert in the industry and acts for a range of private and not-for-profit aged care providers.  Ruvani de Silva has over 30 years experience in aged care and has assisted several organisations with the development and implementation of operational and clinical quality frameworks and continuous improvement programs.

HAT and Hynes Legal look forward to working together to deliver combined services to aged care providers through this new alliance.
