Health Metrics today announced that economist and entrepreneur Nicholas Gruen has taken up the position of Chairman of the company, effective immediately.
Previously held by Craig Charlton, the Chairman’s role involves both Governance and Strategy with a focus on ongoing growth for the Australian company.
Gruen, described by former Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner as “Australia’s foremost public intellectual”, is a policy economist, businessman and entrepreneur as well as commentator on the economy, society and innovation.
He is CEO of Lateral Economics, Visiting Professor at Kings College London Policy Institute and Adjunct Professor at UTS Business School as well as Patron of the Australian Digital Alliance, comprising Australia’s libraries, universities, and providers of digital infrastructure such as Google and Yahoo.
Health Metrics, an Australian company, is well known in the health and well being industry for its software eCase. The organisation has experienced rapid expansion in New Zealand, with eCase gaining significant market share over the last two years.
Gruen says he is “really excited to join Health Metrics to oversee its next stage of business growth.
